Premier Anesthesia's Superior Operational Performance is Recognized by MGMA
The MGMA Performance and Practices of Successful Medical Groups: 2012 Report Based on 2011 Data identified Premier Anesthesia as a "better performer" because of superior operational performance compared with similar medical group practices nationwide.
MGMA recognizes Premier Anesthesia's superior performance and operational outcomes in the areas of Productivity, Capacity and Staffing.
Robin Barca, Senior Vice President/COO, Baptist Health, congratulates Premier Anesthesia on this achievement. "This recognition of their performance certainly represents the dedication and contribution we see on a daily basis from their physicians and staff at Baptist Health. We consider them a reliable partner in the superior surgical care we provide our community."
"Our superior practice outcomes are due to Premier Anesthesia's Evidence-Based Decision Support System," said Kerry Teel, President of Premier Anesthesia. "We realized that for the practice to become a valued strategic partner for the hospital, we would have to develop proprietary processes, systems and reporting tools, to actively manage and improve our anesthesia management from a clinical and operational standpoint to achieve "better" outcomes. Premier Anesthesia's goal is to meet or exceed published national benchmark standards for clinical and operational outcomes. Receiving the MGMA Certificate of Superior Performance is a testimony to the fact that our anesthesia management company is achieving its goal."
The MGMA report, a benchmarking standard among medical groups for more than a decade, was produced using data from respondents to the MGMA Cost Survey: 2012 Report Based on 2011 Data as well as data from a questionnaire that assessed managment behaviors, practices and procedures of better performers. The report profiles medical practices that have demonstrated success in one or more areas: profitability and cost management; productivity, capacity and staffing; accounts receivable and collections; patient satisfaction; and managed care operations.
