Al Head, MD, FASA, Chief Medical Officer
After 20 years of experience as a practicing physician and 11 years serving as an academic department chairman and director of a perioperative service line for a health system, it became clear to Dr. Head that the current healthcare system was not sustainable without significant changes. Reimbursements were declining while quality measures and regulatory services were increasing, and healthcare organizations needed guidance on how best to navigate this paradigm shift. Dr. Al Head is a former Anesthesia Residency Director and Academic Chairman at the Medical College of Georgia. He received his Medical Degree from Emory University, where he was Chief Resident and obtained a Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia. He obtained an additional Clinical and Research Thoracic fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) at Harvard University, and stayed on staff at MGH for nine years.

Robert Johnson, Vice President of Business Development
Robert Johnson is the Vice President of Business Development for Premier Anesthesia and Premier Consulting Services. He has over 30 years of healthcare industry experience with an extensive background in hospital operations and physician management services. His experience includes various leadership roles such as the VP of Physician Services at HCA, Associate COO at Duke Hospital, and VP of Baylor College of Medicine. Most recently, he was a Principal of Enhance Healthcare. Robert holds an MBA from Loyola University Maryland. He is responsible for our Business Development Team and ensuring a smooth transition from new business development to the operations team.

Brian Norris, Vice President of Operations
Brian has 20 years of executive leadership and serial entrepreneurship. Brian’s most recent role before rejoining Premier was on the hospital and health system side as the AVP of Medical Affairs and chief executive of the faculty practice plan of a university health system. During Brian’s tenure, the health system achieved unprecedented surgical volume and downstream surgical revenues. Brian has managed growth and cost containment in every surgical specialty and most general and specialty medical practices. He has achieved 2 patents on medical process devices and performed many startups across the Southeast. Brian attained his Bachelor of Science with honors in Organizational Management with a minor in Sociology, at Mobile College, and earned a Masters in Ethics concentrating in Bio, Medical, and Business Ethics at Spring Hill College.

Adam Grant, Vice President of Operations
Adam has ten years of healthcare industry experience and an extensive background in financial and operational analytics. Throughout his career, he’s served as the Vice President of Operations and Anesthesia Finance for multiple anesthesia management companies, where he focused on optimizing operational efficiencies and identifying performance improving opportunities. He has a history of leading by example and motivating team members to perform at their highest level. He holds a master’s in business administration from Kennesaw State University and is a Lead Six Sigma certified.

Shannon Stahl, Vice President of Staffing and Recruiting
Shannon joined Jackson Healthcare from Kelly Services, Inc., one of the largest global staffing firms where she served in multiple senior management positions over 17 years, including Regional Director of Kelly Financial Resources; Director of Implementation and Service, launching 600 on-site accounts at client locations; and Director of Operations, Europe, launching the company's first pan-European account. Alongside the President, Shannon launched a new business for Jackson Healthcare in 2009 and then transitioned to Premier Anesthesia in 2016. Shannon brings the team a wealth of experience in recruiting, operations, sales, marketing and technology. She graduated from the University of Michigan.

Randy Walker, Controller
Randy has an extensive background in healthcare and physician practice management with over 25 years of experience in Finance and Accounting. Prior to joining Premier Anesthesia, he was a partner with a financial advisory services firm. Randy has held leadership roles such as regional vice president of finance and vice president of finance. Randy's experience also includes nine years with an international accounting firm. He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of South Carolina.

Richard Posey, Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management
Richard has over 25 years of healthcare industry experience. Prior to joining Premier Anesthesia, he was the Vice President of Revenue Management at HSI Financial, which provides collections services to Non-Profit Hospitals. Richard has also worked as a consultant, specializing in turn-around engagements. He brings a wealth of knowledge around system maintenance and design, as well as a deep understanding of automated technological solutions that encourage efficiency and growth. He holds a Finance Degree from Northern Illinois University.
